Those couple blocks with the fast food, gas station and parking lot hotels attract a mix of people at times. Not only is it car sewer slop that makes our city look like the stroad fast food meme image, it is a problem area for activity. I would guess many people stay for weeks at a time. The Forest Park Hotel (old holiday inn) catches a lot of out of towners attention as a place to stay bc they assume it is close to the attractions and I have to tell them it’s not a great spot to stay. Very misleading with that nameDogtownBnR wrote: ↑1:55 PM - Mar 05Just curious... Do people live (long term stay) at the Red Roof Inn Plus at Hampton & 44? The interviews on the news seemed to make it appear as if people live there.
Bad day yesterday for the area with the murder at Red Roof & near Arsenal & 44.
Since there’s an abandoned gas station and a couple empty warehouses/offices and the old residential school will get redeveloped, I am hoping this whole area just gets overhauled soon. I would much prefer these areas get redeveloped than the tear downs of brick shotguns that are happening in the hill (please somebody make it a protected historic district)
