• Chargers' revised revenue expectation is $150,000,000. Said "that won't even pay the player salaries", that something has to happen.
• The current ownership has burned bridges with San Diego. They're not going back there.
• The Spanos' selling is a possibility. A STL owner would definitely help the city's chances of finding a home here, but there aren't that many people in the country with enough capital to buy in.
• He feels there's a "60-70% chance" the Chargers file for relocation within the next five years.
• If they relocate, giving the Chargers to St Louis would end the city's lawsuit against the NFL.
• He feels there's a '30-35% chance St. Louis would be the choice if the Chargers move. He mentioned St. Louis and San Antonio as the most obvious targets.
I don't see another stadium vote going over well here. I'm not all that interested in throwing hundreds of millions in public money to the NFL again. I'd support a team, but I'm curious to see how much financial support could be roused 'round here.

I'd be all in on a new team. But Spanos or the new owner would have to pay to re-do the dome or build a new stadium.
The farthest I would want the city/county/state to go is similar to what they are doing for the MLS Stadium. No property taxes, a break on Ticket Tax, some infrastructure building around the stadium. The owner would need to be in charge of renovations in the future/maintenance for me to support anything.

He did also mention he didn't think they would have to give as good a package as they offered the Rams to stay to get the Chargers here. That said, I can't see them offering anything better than the MLS deal. Maybe the city gets them the land and refunds the amusement tax, but that is about it.
I just can't see St Louis Chargers happening on the buy in and stadium ( the dome is dead for every having a NFL team again IMO).
However, Chargers situation sets up nicely for NFL international play whether it be London or what I think is a better play, Mexico City (a lot of people, big TV market, central time zone). Can see it now London based Russian ownership group bidding against Mexico's richest man, Slim.

Take it for what it's worth, but someone tweeted at Benjamin Allbright that a team in England has been speculated, to which he simply replied "Not happening." (Can't link to it here, but the tweet was sent at 1:25 PM CDT on 17 Oct 18.)

I thought the Chargers were committed to sharing Kronke's super stadium, which opens in a couple of years. In the meantime, they're stuck in a tiny college stadium or something, which is why their attendance is so bad.

Not that I actually believe there is a realistic shot that the NFL would return, but if there is, I believe that return would revolve around a Busch family led ownership group. They have been sitting on AB buyout money for over a decade. The main reason I bring up the Busch family, is the fact that there was discussion a few years back, that they had interest in the NY Jets, assuming the organization was put up for sale. While this could have been nothing more than a rumor, it makes sense that the Busch family would be involved, with their sports connections from the AB days. Now, this could all be a pipedream, but if this group were to be willing to build a venue or revamp the Dome, then pay to move a team like the Chargers here, I could believe Ben Albright's 30% odds of STL getting a franchise. I do think the lawsuit could be used as leverage to get a team here. Considering how fast the Rams settled the PSL suit, they must feel STL has a good case.
Regarding the DOME, I am confident this venue could be revamped into a nice NFL stadium (not top tier, but good enough). Only because New Orleans for example, is a very similar stadium and they do fine. There are many other stadiums that are not that nice. JAX, BUF, CINN to name a few.

Waste of key strokes, and I say that respectfully. The NFL now hates STL due to the this monster litigation that Blixt and company are pursuing. And it is a monster because we have the Rams, the NFL, and all 32 owners by the gonads.

While disappointing, small potatoes compared to the big relocation lawsuit where a judge just refused to grant Kroenke arbitration like he wanted.
My guess is they'll buy it for a buck and immediately turn around a sell it at a huge profit. I just hope the CVC doesn't bite on that.

Yeah, kind of a douche move to opt on it, but the city was contractually bound to offer it. It was short-sided of the CVC to write that into the contract with the Rams without any sort of opt-out.
Kroenke is clearly not worried about optics - it's an opportunity for him to pay nothing and get something and that's all he cares about. I'd have been shocked had the outcome been any different.

When a prosecutor asks for damages, they ask for the moon and back. It's always better to ask for everything right at the start because, who knows, the courts may find that you are in fact owed everything. Considering that the presumed minimum settlement to be offered would be the value of the relocation fee ($550MM) I'm cautiously optimistic about STL's chances in court. Mostly, I want these bastards on the stand, for Roger Goodell to state publicly that STL is a sound football market, and for them to state that they were wrong when StanK crapped all over STL while he was walking towards the door.
Again, our case looks particularly strong on multiple counts here. This will be fun.

^ I want all of that too, and I agree the case is strong and that the prosecution will ask for the moon...I just don't think they'll get it. The system is still very much set up for guys like Kroenke and Goodell to come out on top...even if they lose the case.
Say a St. Louis jury awards billions...they'll appeal and likely get it reduced. I do think the city and CVC will get something in the long run, I'm just too cynical to think it'll be that good lol.

We're in a new era of big businesses getting hit harder because of their continued shortcomings to protect the people they claim to support. Not to mention, the NFL continues to receive bad press after bad press on all sides... this is not a company/business anyone would feel bad going soft on...
