It is good to see that the Clayton/Skinker/Oakland intersection is getting $2 million in pedestrian improvement treatments:

This intersection is scary for both auto and pedestrian traffic. No excuse not to have better/safer pedestrian access here. Thx for posting

City Streets Dir Todd Waelterman talked about plans for this intersection in this nextSTL interview from Dec 2011, saying only that lack of funds has put off a needed redesign: http://nextstl.com/transportation/city- ... at-streets

This redevelopment is very impressive. The Restaraunt looks very well done and I've heard good reviews while sitting at the downstairs bar @ Basso. Basso is a very comfortable and beautiful space. I could spend all day in there (If someone else is paying). The food is really very good and the beer selection is superb. But beware the pasta portions, while hand made and very delish, are stupidly small for the price.

The tasty sandwich portion (called the market) is closing and is being replaced by a Starbucks. I wonder if they'll put in a drive through

Yup.

But I've been bombing La Bamba Burritos with emails about going into that Del Taco spot. They're probably blocking me now.

I love La Bambas. I would give anything to get them in STL.
