Nice! I can see . . . wait . . . never mind. I can see my neighbor's porch from my couch. And that's about it. I can see more from my roof, but . . . I have to go up on the roof. Not hard, but not an everyday occurrence.moorlander wrote: ↑Feb 03, 2018I could see the 212 Clayton and now the Centene tower rise from my couch. Pretty cool.

Just as a reminder, Cushman & Wakefield also still has one on site, and a few time lapses from older cameras as well.

Re post.

The massing really shows how large of a presence this is going to have in the skyline. Also emphasizes how much taller this will be than the current tower. It appears it will almost be twice as tall which means we aren't even halfway there on the current height of the core.

Clayco website is now listing a 3rd Centene camera as "coming soon."

Steel going up fairly quickly over the last week. The floors for the tower are now above the Wellbridge portion of the project.

The bend in the facade on this tower didn't register to me until I saw the steel rising over the Wellbridge podium. This is going to be a very subtle architectural element that I think will make this tower stand out a little once complete. The cantilever over the East end of the podium is going to look very cool IMO.

Not sure I follow. There's a cantilever on the east end of the building?newstl2020 wrote: ↑Feb 17, 2018The cantilever over the East end of the podium is going to look very cool IMO.

If i have the directional wrong I apologize. You can notice it in this rendering:wabash wrote: ↑Feb 17, 2018Not sure I follow. There's a cantilever on the east end of the building?newstl2020 wrote: ↑Feb 17, 2018The cantilever over the East end of the podium is going to look very cool IMO.

It is not very large, but the building extends out over the Wellbridge portion of the project.
^It's not going to cantilever anymore than that one little bit of corner - basically just what you can see there. The rest of that entire side (the north side) of the tower will run all the way down to meet the Wellbridge roof.

Rising
I'm a few days out of date, So Moorlander's is taller, but it's impressive to see. And almost within site of the trinity over at Wash U.Which will itself be nearly in site of the twosome at SLU when they go up. Adding in the two ththree for BPV and 300 S Broadway and one for the magazine rack and we could go up to eleven. (For the record, I like the magazine rack, but all good buildings need a nickname. Can't recall who it was that recommended that one, but it feels about dead on. It'll be official soon enough.)

Centene Tower and Centene Plaza are going to be the 7701 Forsyth and 7733 Forsyth of this era.
Is Phase II (i.e. the tower proposed for the Clayton Hole) a done deal, or is it wait-and-see? Does anyone have the latest groundbreaking info on phase II?

Seems like a good time to re-post this from around 10 pages back. Chriss752 had the original post IIRC.

Phase 1 and 2B (all current construction that we see now) are firmly U/C. The main one that I am waiting on (and I believe StLgasm may be referring to) is Phase 3 which is slated to begin in 2020. Phase 3 will be truly skyline altering for Clayton, I am extremely excited to see movement on this one. Hopefully if CNC keeps up it's torrid pace of growth we can get an accelerated project schedule for Phases 3/4 (the remaining tower phases.)
Fingers crossed all!

^ Agree on both points, I think the poster is referring to 400' + tower in Phase III which will markedly alter the Clayton skyline as it sits so far to the East of the existing high-rises and will be very prominent while it goes up.
Can't wait to see it go up, can 2020 get here sooner?
