I wouldn’t pay much into the tall box and in fact I think it might look a bit out of place with the rest of the possible district. I would say something 450ft max would actually look better and if I’m going super tall I would go the lot across from the stadium. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cardinals are courting the USDA jobs and another possible company however no matter how in touch some may be with Cordish and such I just don’t think they are going to give any of their secrets away. Just my humble opinion I don’t think demand has anything to do with it I’m a firm believer in if they build it they’ll come and there’s no such thing as too many hotels Downtown is becoming more of a popular tourist destination it’s simply being built for hospitality. BPV is going to be very successful no matter how small are tall the buildings will be.

This is apparently on the Shannon’s lot and it’s suppose to be about the same height at OCW. So not a BPV related developer

They sure over-exaggerated the height. And if it were a legtimiate project for the Shannon's parcel, I wonder how it would work since it's a land lease.

The rendering West shows some new buildings in Cortex and Clayton as well as Koplar’s tower. It’s off topic but interesting to mention.

^^ Strange, as the Shannon's building is along Market. I would think any OCW height building would be blocked by the BoA Tower from that angle.

Shannon’s north entrance is on market.  The south is at Walnut. The rendering is for the mls stadium and someone decided to squeeze this is, they probably didn’t focus all too much on the exact location

Your analysis of these renderings is hilarious. I would say that architects put these buildings in renderings just to screw with you but they don't even give it that much thought.

Two photos of One Cardinal Way from 900 South 4th today. The crown is really starting to take shape.

The rendering above also has the Ford billboard located on the wrong side of the tower, which gives me a good opening to point out that the one cardinal way leasing sign has once again been taken down. Hopefully they are getting ready to put the permanent fixture in place.
No such luck. The fabric leasing sign has been replaced with... the exact same sign. Just noticed that it reappeared on the webcam on Friday. The old one was torn, which I assume is why it was taken down.

I noticed that Friday as well. I had hoped that there was going to be something more permanent in place for advertising signage around the development but things might be pointing to these fabric signs being the final iteration. The Western corners of the office building have a cardinals sign and a Scott Credit Union sign that look to be fairly permanent that are both made of fabric as well. For the prominence of the board fronting the stadium from OCW I really hope that isn't the case.

Now that is what I would call a City.   You got everything from office towers, residential towers, hotel towers, ballpark, with an elevated rail (with train on it!!!) and crowded parking w some gritty mural covered buildings in the fore front.    It couldn't get any better until you notice the Southern Comfort billboard.

Thanks for a great photo Chris

I don't think the fabric sign is the final iteration of the type of signage going there, I just don't think they've installed the permanent signage yet. You can see there's a cutout of space in the facade where something permanent is going to be installed, and I'm quite sure it's not going to just be easily torn fabric like the current sign. I just think that's probably going to be one of the last things they do before the complete the building, so we probably won't see it until sometime early this summer.

The remainder of the garage screen had it's first pieces installed yesterday on the SouthEast side of the podium. It looks much better.

^What is that material?  It looks like frosted glass, but that wouldn't seem appropriate for a garage.  Maybe it's just a really fine screen?

From what I could see from street level, it appears to be a metal screen.

Sooo... I just noticed that Cordish's workzone cam positioned from inside Busch Stadium towards One Cardinal Way has been offline since March 19th at 1:30pm. Has construction at the site halted because of the COVID-19 pandemic? And if so, does that mean the building's July opening is going to be delayed?

They're website says that the leasing team is only available for virtual tours in the COVID-19 alert, but I don't see anything regarding a construction notice or timeline adjustment. I didn't see anything on their Facebook either.

Given that construction is still well underway at multiple other developments and that leasing is already at 55%+, not to mention the lack of details for future residents online, I am going to guess there's no real delay.

That being said, I was planning on visiting soon on a walk or drive to cure my cabin fever, so I'll report back.

Elevator making its way up- workers on the roof and out on balconies- I think the camera probably got turned off because there isn’t much exterior work left. But it’s a fully staffed construction site

Agreed - could be something as simple as in internet connectivity or camera power issue.  And with the Cardinals staff all working from home / the ballpark closed, I doubt that would be a priority for someone to go in and fix.

^ Not only that but there have been some other times where the camera didn’t update for a few days a time. I’d say you’re probably pretty close.

That's true of most construction sites even in the best of times...
