Ameristar first to see admissions increase since Lumiere Place openingSt. Louis Business Journal

Ameristar Casino St. Charles is the only casino in the St. Louis area in Missouri to see admissions increase since Lumiere Place opened nearly three months ago, the Missouri Gaming Commission reported Monday.

Ameristar Casino had a slight increase in admissions from 707,334 in February 2007 to 709,317 this February. However, revenue did fall 3 percent from $25.1 million in February 2007 to $23.3 million this past month.

I wonder if some of this is from people who decided not to drop 20, 30 or 60 bucks not to get into "Home"?

The big names will now be at Home in St. Chuckes... not my first choice but I can't really think of any other suitable venues.

DJ parties at Dante’s find a new Home

By Kevin C. Johnson

And despite what it sounds like, they’re not completely going away. They’re just leaving Dante’s. Future B&W events will take place at Home at Ameristar Casino.

B&W’s Amin Mohabbat says “more artists would rather go to that venue (Home). It has better sound and better lights, and more artists are asking about it.”

HOME is now closed. I always thought it would have been more successful at Lumiere.

^ No surprise... I don't know too many 'club kids' from St. Chuck Co. They would definitely do better Downtown. If you've ever been to the casinos out there, you'd know why the place failed. The place was dead on weeknights. You can't fill a club out there on weeknights, epecially with the clientele that frequents those casinos, not the club crowd out there IMO. It is also a long dangerous drive for us 'city folk' who have been drinking. DWI waiting to happen.

The HOME space reopened "limited" last month as Club Ameristar. In colab with PartyStar events they're bringing in B level dj/producers.

That's wasn't a bad guess. But I looked and the Ryse nightclub space is still booking some touring acts for this fall.
