The development rumor I had heard was of a low-rise project that still might have included some surface parking. I'm fine if they want to take their time and come up with something better down the line. A surface lot is not the highest or best use of this parcel.

Apparently it's a surface lot for now as they've been resealing/spray tarring the parking lot and repainting the lines this week.

Part of me holds out hope that all this is mere subterfuge.

I'm thinking a "Parking Lot Company" can purchase a parking lot from a Parking Lot Company* at a better price than a High-Rise Developer buying a parking lot. Then in time, sell that lot to the High-Rise Developer for the purchase price. Boom! 40-story tower!

*unless they do due diligence and figure out who's a subsidary of whom.

Yeah, even if it doesn't get developed right now, at least it's in the hands of a proven high rise developer.

I think an announcement on some sort of project could end up coming by late this year early next year because all of the hype around the stadium could very well lead to the project being annoujced

This same guy owns the lot near the America center too, as the article above says. If development here picks up it could lead to him developing that lot as well. I guess we will see

This lot is owned by an LLC in Las Vegas and incorporated in 2017 and looks like the owner is Mike Schustek. Doesn’t look like he’s a RE developer. Would love to see this property bought and developed. Would be great location for a residential tower

I thought someone in another thread had mentioned there might be a hotel proposal in the cards here?  I don’t remember the thread, but if I’m remembering correctly it was about this lot.

I’ll have to see if I can find it.
Edit:  Here's that comment I saw.  May or may not be this lot and sounds like it's something that's still a long ways off.
