I think that was a neighbor. The existing building and the empty part to the south are the same parcel and owned by the developer.

I think it’s just because we didn’t see the back portion

it appears to be attached to the corner building now. didn't you say at one point that a resident of the corner building opposed the development (something about where will the squirrels live)? has the owner/developer maybe acquired the corner building since then?
The resident lived in the building directly south of the site and was complaining, not only about the squirrels and what not, but also the noise construction would cause. She has since moved out.

The corner building, which is crucial to this development, was already owned by the developer according to the City of St. Louis Property Search. So the developer owns the property which should clear up anything confusion.

I love it aside from the corrugated steel.  Can we stop this trend yet?

I'm not sure how much I like the brick gradient from dark grey to white. I get that it's supposed to tie into the existing building, but it looks a little tacky. Other than that and wishing they'd wrap the brick around the Southside of the new structure, I think this an excellent project.

First, I'm really glad to see some evidence this project is still moving forward. Second . . .

That's a VW Karmann Ghia! At least, I'm pretty sure that's what it is. In a contemporary rendering. Interesting little easter-egg. :)
Warn them they'll get a ticket for being parked the wrong way!

Updated renderings posted to the JEMA website. Noe including some shots of the lobby and a unit's kitchen. The developer has been quiet about this one, so I'm not sure what the status is anymore. I still have some hope that this project will come to life. The demand is there for it, especially since 3172 Morgan Ford (MOFO) is back up to 100% occupancy, but the property website hints at openings this Spring.

I'm pretty excited about this project. I hope Tower Grove South starts to see a lot more infill like this.

It's such a great neighborhood.

Other than the ridiculous name this is awesome and I am all in favor of it being built ASAP.

Project heading to the LCRA on May 25th. Designating 3201 Morganford LLC as the developer of the property. The tax abatement was previously approved in 2018 and is an Ordinance right now. I doubt Tishaura can change that one. Great to see this one return.

This is another major improvement for this area and continues the momentum of the neighborhood. Extremely supportive of this.

Going from 20 to 27 units. Cost of lumber +$700,000 since last year but better loan terms. That’s about it

There was a fire in a nice commercial building just south of this site maybe a block. Although from the street the fire appeared to be contained to the upper floors, the interior is now exposed to the elements. Anyone know what's going on with that building?

There's a permit issued June 23rd to start cleaning it up. INTERIOR/EXTERIOR ALTERATIONS (FIRE DAMAGE) (CFD 30 DAYS)
