How fast did it go for March's storms?MattnSTL wrote: ↑Jun 09, 2025Sounds like the major disaster declaration has finally been signed by Trump. I guess we'll see how quickly things can move now.
Are condominiums eligible for any of these?dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Jun 10, 2025FEMA funds are pretty prescriptive
Individuals can receive up to $770 for immediate emergency needs, plus up to $43,600 to assist with home repair costs and $43,600 for other recovery costs.
The state has $125m in tax credits set aside for insurance deductible up to $5000 per house
States $100m will go towards paying city’s clean up bill and physical infrastructure repair
$25m from state goes towards housing assistance for those displaced
City’s $30m will probably be spread to thin to too many things
Sounds pretty decent!stlurbanist wrote: ↑Jun 10, 2025Are condominiums eligible for any of these?dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Jun 10, 2025FEMA funds are pretty prescriptive

The next criticism is gonna be about non-profits and corruption as to where all the money goes. Just watch. It's already started from some people.
On an individual unit basis I don't see why there would be any different eligibility. For condo buildings as a whole, the association should be carrying adequate insurance and reserves to cover deductibles. Otherwise, they are doing everyone a disservice. I know, sometimes easier said than done.stlurbanist wrote: ↑Jun 11, 2025Majority of buildings damaged in DeBaliviere Place are historic condominium buildings. Would funds be available for these buildings?
It's going to be alright. If the regime pulls FEMA funding from St. Louis, next time Kehoe will send 42 National Guard troops to help.addxb2 wrote: ↑Jun 11, 2025The day after approving STL FEMA, Trump says it’s time to shut the program down. He also humiliated Kehoe with this…

Just spend some of the FEMA funds buying Trump Coins, post about it on Truth Social, make it clear that we think he's a great president (some say the greatest), and viola, the problem goes away.preservation.research.office wrote: ↑Jun 12, 2025It's going to be alright. The non-profit crisis of corruption has been going on for a long time in many different cities. It's real and everything should be transparent and exposed.Auggie wrote: ↑Jun 10, 2025The next criticism is gonna be about non-profits and corruption as to where all the money goes. Just watch. I assume because you post on this site you might have a vague interest in architecture. Ever considered funding the building of a house? Or 50?delmar2debaliviere2downtown wrote: ↑Jun 13, 2025Considering the above conversation about non profits, I am about to donate another considerable amount of money to relief. I have always believed in the rejuvenation of Fountain Park and hoped for the revival of the Ville. Where should I donate money? Urban League?
