Maybe developrs should always propose 25% more units than they ideally would build, then when neighbors complain, scale it down to what you wanted to do anyway.
Looks much better than it did in the original B&W rendering. I'm concerned that they're not maintaining the existing building line, though. Maybe I'm just seeing it wrong.

Must be some tough trees to grow through the sidewalk like that. Jokes aside it’s nice to see plants even shown seems all to recently it’s an after thought. Most people will only experience the building from the outside yet often times the public realm is not thought of in design or construction.

Developer proposes apartments, townhomes in Clayton
https://www.stltoday.com/news/local/business/developer-proposes-apartments-townhomes-in-clayton/article_30ac09c8-1439-11ee-8f73-fff8b5856349.htmlKeeley Properties has proposed 145 apartments and townhomes, a parking garage and retail space at 201-215 North Meramec Avenue, just north of Pershing Avenue. It's not clear how many townhomes will be part of the project; a spokesperson for the company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Clayton Board of Aldermen will review the project at 7 p.m. Tuesday online and in person at City Hall, 10 North Bemiston Avenue. Clayton-based Keeley Properties is a real estate investment, development and management firm. The company is currently building the mixed-use development at the southwest corner of Olive Boulevard and Interstate 170 in Olivette with Keat Properties.
Chris reported the 145 units here back in early May. Along with updated renderings. #56
Does anyone know if they still plan on building the purposed apartment building on the site? I work across the street and they are almost done with demo of the old Avis building and today they installed concrete barriers along the perimeter and a “side walk” on N Meramec.

This project is getting its tower crane today. They're about to install the cab now as I post.
Construction clipping along. As of today, support columns projecting above street-level. Vertical construction is imminent.

Is there going to be any ground floor retail? If so, it’ll be fun to see more synergy along Meramec in that direction.quincunx wrote:
