I've got no problem with him. He gets stuff done.
Could add sky lights to the top tier to get some more light in there.
This would certainly be an odd place to live. But also pretty cool. "Yeah I live in that giant Greek temple."

I don't quite understand where the parking is going, unless there is an existing garage in this building? Or maybe the new parking would just be in the basement?
Otherwise, I just don't see how they could squeeze parking, ramps, and apartments plus hallways all around the exterior, on all the lower floors, without tearing out those large, ornate spaces in the center. It is hard to read, but it sure looks like the First Floor Plan drawing says "garage" in the central space in the back half of the building.
Anyway, those 7th floor and higher apartments could be amazing. It looks like they'd have huge terraces with killer views. Who needs a lot of windows when you have a terrace like that?

FWIW, the Preservation Board took no exceptions with the proposed changes. I good choice IMO.
Looked like they were doing some selective demo in the Spring. There were guys in there and a whole lot of noise as well as a few dumpstersquinng234 wrote:Does anyone know what happened to this project?
Not sure if it's related, but part of the retaining wall supporting the parking lot along Spring collapsed a few weeks ago. It's currently being repaired.
