The National Alliance, considered a neo-Nazi hate group, is suing the St. Louis region's transit agency over a decision in January 2005 to take down placards promoting the group on MetroLink trains.
The suit, filed with the help of the American Civil Liberties Union, says the decision by Bi-State Development Agency violated the group's right to free speech under the First Amendment.
The placards said, "The Future belongs to us!" It included a phone number for the organization and a reference to a Web site.
