I want to say it's on the "Historic 4th Street District". I could be wrong though.

And I actually don't know where it is, but I'd really like to know.

^I'd guess on Chouteau between Grand and Vandeventer.

I think Urban Pioneer is right, the owl is painted on one of the storefronts on 4th street near Gratiot

^I found that it was on Chouteau and it's a place called Harvey's Sandwich Shop. Can't find anything more on it though.

Edit: Found it... Chouteau and Carr Lane Dr.

The owl painting is by local artist Justin Tolentino. Here's his myspace page for anyone who's interested:

That's the building on Washington about 1500 on the East side that houses the English Tea Room and the Furniture store. It used to house my beloved Gold's Gym but the street became upscale and Gold's couldn't afford it any more.

I always think of that decoration as being "brains" and I call it The Brain Building, although it is also the Christmas buidling in my mind because it has lovely carved wreaths in many places on the Washington Ave. facade.

PS The decoration could also cause it to be named "The Intestines Building" but inhabitants wouldn't much like that. It's an huge handsome and solid building and I love it and am only making fun of it as one would something one loves. :P

That is funny. I will never look at this building the same way again!

Here is another. Extra credit for naming all buildings in the reflection.

It has taken me a couple of days trying to figure out this photo, but I beleive this is a shot looking at the NSI Building's storefront at Locust, and 22nd Street. The buildings in the reflection are (crossing my fingers) the People's Hospital Building, the Studebaker Building (don't know if that is an official name) and the Packard Building (Lumen). The far red brick building in the reflection is probably one of the Office Furniture buildings across from the Tap Room, if I have my directions correct in the reflection.
