^You always do find the good art.
I really need to stop by. I have a big Chinese thing needing sympathetic framing.
^Thanks.
BTW, after nearly 40 years I'm not in the framing biz anymore.

^Ah, bummer. Or congratulations on your retirement, maybe. I guess that means my next "Where in St. Louis am I" will be to find a framing shop.
Anyplace in particular you'd recommend I look?
OK, this is a bit of a longshot, but let's see if anyone happens to know this place:

No! But I like it!
I could believe that's one of the somewhat Spanishesque looking buildings on Olive/Lindell east of Grand.
Pretty swelegant, isn't it? I could see Hedy Lamarr making her appearance down those steps.
But no, this is further west.

^It definitely has that Hollywood flair. (They do like their "mission" style out that way for some reason.)
Okay, this is the Del-Lin apartment building on (Little) Lindell right where it curves and hits Forsythe.

I never would've thought that's what the inside of that looked like. I like that building a lot because of how it's angled and has small storefronts with interesting transoms.

^That is most definitely a spot I did not know. Been down Forsyth through the area a few times, but I never even noticed there was another Lindell on the other end of Wash U. They don't quite line up, but surely they must have connected at one time. Anyway . . . neat little building! Quite the gem.

^ Can't believe I just now discovered this thread. I'm going with John's Butcher Shoppee!
You are correct! John's is a great, old-school butcher shop tucked away in a residential area of Overland.
Which is another way of saying I said to myself "well, it's the back of rowhouses." And literally the first place I looked matched the colors in G-Maps aerial view, and when I went into street view the conduit seemed to match up as well. So . . . luck.

Okay . . . anyone recognize this piece of public art?
