I've lived on West Cabanne Place since 2008 and the house at the end of the cul-de-sac (6084 West Cabanne) has been vacant since I moved here. Unfortunately, in the last 2 years water infiltration at the back parapet wall has caused a significant collapse of the back wall of the house. It seem to be only a matter of time before the house is a lost cause. Here's a pic of the front from Google Street View:
This house has some site challenges beyond the structural issues it is experiencing. It is on a truly strange site that is very long and narrow yet the axis is perpendicular to the house orientation. The very small, almost nonexistent, back yard terminates in the top of a very tall stone retaining wall that drops into an industrial yard.
I've heard from long-termers here that this house, while oddly plain on the outside, once housed one of the nicest interiors on the block.
