Barnes-Jewish plans new $45 million nursing school

Barnes-Jewish Hospital has property adjacent to the Washington University Medical School campus on Kingshighway under contract for a new facility for the Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing and Allied Health.
Sources say the project is estimated to cost $45 million.
Barnes-Jewish has the property at 4483 Duncan under contract from Dazor Manufacturing, said Dazor President Stan Hogrebe. "They approached us this past spring," Hogrebe said. "The sale isn't finalized until March 11, 2006, which was negotiated to give us time to move." Dazor, which makes lighting and magnification products, has had its headquarters at the site since 1938.
