Recently noticed that the Walgreens on Lindell is no longer open 24 hours. Just a few years ago there were ar least 4 pharmacies in the city open all the time and now don't know of any. It's disappointing but not surprising given the spikes in crime. Twice I went into the Lindell CVS early morning only to find out it had just been robbed, one time the manager had been assaulted. Once they stopped the 24 hour thing I used the Walgreens across the street and missed an armed robbery by seconds when the 2 men came running out with guns while I was getting in my car. Needless to say I started using pharmacies in south city.

I have a friend who worked as Pharmacy Tech for years. Most of them have closed due to staffing shortages.

Tell your cousin the Walgreens in Brentwood keeps mislabeling our prescriptions. It’s happened to me, my wife and kid all recently. They’re going to end up killing someone.
It’s not just in the city. The Walgreens in Clayton (RIP ParkMoor) used to be 24 hours. The one in Brentwood now closes at 6 on Saturdays (6 AYFKM!?). Both close for lunch breaks now too. From 1:30-2.

We really are entering a strange new world where there will never be enough young people to fill all the jobs - particularly relating to the care of an ever-aging population. AI can't get here soon enough.
Amazing how unprepared we are given this easily foreseeable problem.

Some are open 24 hours where you can buy over the counter type relief, but the actual pharmacies for prescribed stuff close around 1/130am.

Someone on Nextdoor says the Walgreens at 3720 N. Kingshighway is closing.

They're going to transfer most of their customers to 6733 Clayton Rd in Clayton. Most of the employees will be moved to other stores.

That's a great location for a large, mixed-use development. Access to grocery, transit, bars and restaurants. They'd need to do some work to improve pedestrian friendliness.
