^Love how they claim that Clayton is a magnet for "outdoor enthusiasts". Wonder where that came from.

I loved how the entire segment of Ladue was nothing but HWY 64 footage...LOL.

^Well, it was a stolen concept, even then. Lots of Koyanisquatsi. We should redo it properly, with a better camera and the Miata rather than the Prius. (No offense to the Prius, mind. I love it. But a stick shift and pop up headlights make a driving video better.) Anyway . . . thank you!

A cute orange Beetle could work too . . .

Geography King is one of my fave You Tube channels and he listed St. Louis--and specifically Tower Grove South--as where he would most like to live in Missouri.

^ Interesting.  We really need to get the STL region into the 21st century by either merging the city with the county or at the very least to have the city being incorporated into the county.  His opening comments about STL is most unfortunate.

^yeah I made a comment that the violent crime rate is bunk due to the city/county divorce.

In some of his other videos he's made mention that he doesn't put a lot of stock in the crime rankings and has spoken highly of many of the cities that rank high on those lists (Dettoit, Cleveland, New Orleans, STL).

You just need average intelligence to understand the issue with STL crime and how it's tracked. Geo King is actually pretty smart and well informed. He's a very good advocate for urbanism on YouTube.

^ Agreed. St. Louis shows up in so many of his videos for good things, which is nice for a change.

Between Downtown and SLU? It has the major art museum in it? What the heck is he smoking? It's a nice effort, but . . . a bit geographically challenged.

He's mainly referring to Grand Center and most of Midtown is to the east of SLU. Pretty sure there's a modern art museum or two in that area as well.

There's several galleries and two small museums, but he said the primary museum. SLU (and Grand Center) are both solidly in Midtown. Midtown is between Downtown and the Central West End. (Or Forest Park if he wants to draw the park parallel.) It's a sweet mention, but also a bit misleading.

Nestled in the heart of St. Louis, the Bissell Mansion, built in the early 1800s, has garnered the attention of St. Louisans and paranormal enthusiasts alike. But after years and a change of owners, a new chapter is unfolding for the mansion—as it’s about to be featured on the latest episode of HGTV’s “Scariest House in America.”

Probably one of the most authentic and thorough St. Louis videos I have seen from transit/urbanist YouTube.....ever? And it's not even technically about St. Louis.

Also, apparently the La Quinta in Westport is struggling.

Auggie beat me to it! I was gonna share Miles in Transit video. It's a long one. But a good un.

Glad to see he enjoyed Alton. I'm there today and it's such an underrated Halloween town. It's got history and grit. I like to think of it as the actual Haddonfield, Illinois from the Halloween movie franchise.

And back to the video--I travel to Irontin/Arcadia Valley to hike quite a bit and didn't know the Amtrak station there held a museum.

Here's a fun one: A Japanese woman apparently visited the Museum of Transport.

There's a couple of slightly depressing points, but . . . overall it's not too bad and she seems to have walked away with a decent impression, at least of our historic trains.
