Looks like there's a proposal for what I assume to be a new apartment building at 6669 Washington in U City. That's
this parking lot, just a block from COCA (their construction crane is in the distance) and just south of The Loop. I don't have any further info at this point.

I lived at 6675 Washington eons ago. That was parking for that building. It'd be great to see it find productive use.

The new building will be three stories, nine units. Twenty parking spaces!

No rendering yet.

IIRC U City has a one spot per bedroom parking min.

Glad to see it's possible to build a small apt building.

Could this really be the first small-scale apartment building built in the City and Inner-County in a while? Even that newest one announced in Gravois Park on Texas is 12 units

Plans are out there for this and have been fully approved according to people familiar with it.

I've found and saved the plans and made contact with the developer throughout the week. They don't want any publicity on this right now, so I'm not going to go beyond what I say in this post.

Overall, the elevations make it look like that when complete, it will look like one of the old multi-family buildings in the City and throughout University City. In other words, a solid addition that matches the surroundings.

Chris mentioned that construction has started and he shared a rendering on another website. Not sure if it's OK to post it yet.

Yes. Haven't gotten around to posting it here yet. Raineri has a fence up and excavator around the site. Design mimics the traditional 6 family buildings in the city and U-City. Core 10 is the architect. Not really a rendering, just an elevation. I have others + floor plans too.

Really nice addition. I'm sort of glad that they broke away from the original design style presented in the elevations.

^Also not at all bad and quite attractive in context.
