You can’t even find a single block with every other.
Only two I can think of is Chris’ and car hitting T Mobile. Id bet that puts up in the low end of downtowns of top 75 cities.

People also clearly aren’t buying the fear porno, half a dozen restaurants I walked by around 1-2 today were packed- Havanas, sen thai, hi pointe, sugarfire, salt and smoke and blondies
Owner of Ukraft (first floor NW corner of Peabody) is happy with the progress Jones admin is making downtown. It’s going to be a great summer down here, get in pu*sies

If anyone gets credit for a drop in homicides it’s President Lewis Reed by implementing the Cure Violence program.

lol. It’s a pilot in 3 neighborhoods, the biggest being dutchtown. It had 12 homicides in 2021 and 8 in 2020.
Other two saw reductions but the area is so small like a Sq mile that it’s insane to infer the program, which the mayor committed even more money, had much of an impact. Cure Violence impact results are 12-18 months away at best

8 murders through 24 days. Assuming we have 9 this month, and accounting for higher numbers in summer months based on data from last 5 years, that projects to 107 murders over the course of the year. 35 per 100k residents.

Maybe not every other, but your response is either also an exaggeration or you need to take another look: Levine Hat has a window out (car wreck?), as does one of the Printers Buildings (package theft); the shoe store in Monkey Building has a window out (theft); Mango just had its east-facing window knocked out about a week ago by the same guy that knocked out windows at Enterprise — apparently Kim Gardner thought it smart to release him; as you mentioned Chris’ Pancakes & T-Mobile have windows out. There are more I’ve seen in the past week, I’m just forgetting.dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Jan 22, 2022You can’t even find a single block with every other.

Gunfire: UKraft’s building (Peabody) was hit a dozen or so times in the past 18 months, including Windows’ new venue Windows on Kiener. Bee Hat was hit (by Reign). Flamingo was hit (by Reign). Oh, and Reign was hit by Reign.
Printers was hit New Year’s Eve by some guy firing an AR into the air while his buddy filmed him. Quality, quality human beings.
Ely Walker’s lobby was shot up in the last 18 months.
Mansion House Complex has been hit this year. BPV has been hit multiple times in the past 1-2 years. And just about a week ago One Cardinal Way was hit.
This past week Terra Cotta was hit … way up high on the Washington Avenue facing elevation.
That’s just glass. Have you looked at infrastructure etc.? The bollards at Broadway & Washington were hit, again, just east of the Bull & Bear at Stifel. This happened like two to three weeks ago. House of Soul’s fence is wrecked. 14th & Washington’s fence is wrecked. And the fence across from the old Boot Leggin’ Bbq has been wrecked for over a year.
At some point landlords say “what’s the point?” and leave the boards on. In fact Old Laclede Gas at 8th & Olive has been that way since George Floyd. And Globe just put up graphics on Tucker because after Floyd, they want zero retail. Only office.
I wish I lived in the Downtown you live in dbInSouthCity. We must have different prescriptions or maybe I need to smoke your stuff.

Two cops were shot. One is clinging on for dear life. Ho-hum. Who cares.
A lot of folks based on the media reports about the officers condition and the fact that two suspects have been arrested and charged and a third killed by police…

Right, because everyone knows the only place to express concern and offer prayers that matter and mean something for a injured office is under a pseudo name on a urban development message board that includes a thread of crime. The leading cause of cop deaths in 2021 was COVID and they still don't wear masks, so apparently cops don't even care about each other's lives.whitherSTL wrote: ↑Jan 28, 2022Two cops were shot. One is clinging on for dear life. Ho-hum. Who cares.

The fat cops should wear masks. Because, you know, fat people are more prone to dying of Covid.MarkHaversham wrote: ↑Jan 28, 2022The leading cause of cop deaths in 2021 was COVID and they still don't wear masks, so apparently cops don't even care about each other's lives.whitherSTL wrote: ↑Jan 28, 2022Two cops were shot. I value free time at $50 an hour as a baseline to compare to if something is worth doing or paying someone 49.99 an hour to do it for me. I think my rate for consultation is still $275-325 depending on the subject at Guidepoint (global network of experts)whitherSTL wrote: ↑Jan 28, 2022Says the guy who values his time at $50/hour.
