1330 Hawthorne Pending demo or rehab in Richmond Heights?

Anyone know what’s happening with this handsome old apartment building on Hawthorne Pl. in Richmond Heights? It would be terrible to lose this big urban building in such a highly visible location (abutting Highway 40). I don’t have much faith in the Richmond Heights city council to prevent demolition. Does anyone have any intel?

Sorry- I was mistaken. It’s on Hawthorne Place, near Dale Ave and directly south of Highway 40. I believe the address is 1330 Hawthorne Pl.

the listing sells it as a rehab opportunity and makes no mention of demo, thankfully. i cringed a little though when it talked about razing a nearby home for parking, or turning the courtyard into a parking lot.

I didn't see anything on the Richmond Heights website, but they've torn down the old church. It's a good-sized parcel, maybe building new houses? It's between Big Bend, Dale, and Lindbergh (no, not that one). https://www.google.com/maps/place/Word+ ... 90.3182139

The top of the front facade had collapsed. I was under the impression that they were just rebuilding it

You also have to wonder how much longer those two churches at Dale and Laclede Station are going to last. Prime candidates for tear down and infill.

The facade was rebuilt. I saw it every other day when passing it on 64.
