SoLiS Mobility is a STL-based technology company that provides infrastructure for electric vehicles (EV). The company presents its goal as "To create a holistic EV sharing and charging experience through architecture, sustainability, and technology. Breaking down the barriers to EV adoption and integrating renewable energy + battery storage at the community scale."
The company plans to break ground on a new $3.2MM EV charging station at 2320 Market Street in Downtown West, just east of Jefferson. SoLiS plans for this to be the first of a nationwide rollout of charging stations. The station will be topped with solar panels and able to service 24 vehicles at a time through 4 different types of available chargers. Plans are to break ground in January 2020 with completion in May 2020. SoLiS is partnering with Green Street St. Louis for the construction of the site, which will feature a modern/contemporary lounge for vehicle owners as their vehicles are charged, out of which they will serve Kaldi's Coffee.
