Thanks for the link Chris to the webcam, when did they make that public?

And nice pic Mayor, can you imagine how nice it would look if 300 was rising in the background as well? I am still holding out hope...

Seconded on the thanks for finding the link.

My biggest take away is how much view into the stadium is going to be left for the parcels directly behind the BPV bar portion and One Cardinal Way currently going up. For some reason looking at this from the ground level I got the impression that views were going to be blocked for a future tower, but the entire Western side of a tower on that parcel would have terrific views into the stadium still. Bodes well for future phases!

That would be quite nice. Even nicer would be if 300 was rising and the facade of the old Isaac Taylor building would be saved, cataloged, and erected on the southwest corner of the Stadium East garage to hide that prison like monstrosity, or at least the part that can be viewed from Busch.

By my crude measurement, I'm guessing the top will be about even with the top of the Arch as viewed in this photo.

Excited to see a webcam finally up and running for One Cardinal Way. Now if we could get the one for Loews Hotel and the Pennant Building available for public viewing. Posted back in late June and still nothing...

There will be webcams.

According to Paric, there will be two, one on the Residential Tower and one on the office/fitness portion. Both will be on top of the Hilton's East Tower. I got a preview today from a friend on site, it is a neat perspective and I think all of you are going to enjoy the views. It is a "Truelook" system like SLU Hospital.

They aren't making it public for whatever reason. I'll see if I can get access again

It's been over two weeks since I last shared project update photos here. So, here I go!

From Mike Shannon's patio...

Busch West Garage looking East...

Loews Hotel. Decking Floor 6 of 8 on the far end of the photo.

Pennant Building. Steel going up for final office floor and roof on the eastern end. Topping out is slated for roughly two weeks with brickwork beginning.

From the Jack Buck statue on Clark

From the Busch East Garage...

One Cardinal Way. Working on Amenity deck, floor 8. 21 more to go.

Random shots (the last one is my favorite).

Neat. this has far more of an impact than I thought it would (considering it is only 11 floors) but then I realize that Downtown South of Market doesn't really have that many buildings. Also, you must've taken this around the same time I was down there (I was down between 3 and 4.

A view less shown on the forums. Slightly difficult to make out in the photo, definitely more substantial in reality. 2 floors left to go of steel on this end of the building so it wills till get larger. Streetwall down 8th from ~ Wash Ave.

Neat view. I'll be in Downtown tomorrow to take more photos of BPV and include shots down the former Real Estate Row. The office building is topped out near the Busch 2 Infield. Seems taller than the renderings portrayed it as.

Progress photos from today...

The Loews Hotel's baseball sculpture deck has steel trusses erected.

The Pennant Building is practically topped out on the Busch 2 Infield side...

One Cardinal Way's crane should be jumped soon. Up to the 8th Floor.

The One Cardinal Way Crane was jumped up today. It now perfectly fits into the corner of Greensfelder in these construction camera shots. I think two or three pieces were added to the crane...

Seen from Keiner Plaza. It is neat to see the buildings rising over the lower portions of the Hilton and Mike Shannons. It now practically gives off the impression that there is stuff South of Market now. Hopefully, the rest of the public, visitors, and residents think that way as well when this is completed.

Good article from SportsBusiness Journal on mixed-use sports developments, with a focus on Ballpark Village.
(via STL Biz Journal, paywalled article)

https://www.bizjournals.com/stlouis/new ... elves.html

Of note:
One other undeveloped parcel at the downtown St. Louis development could end up with an office tower as well. “My goal, my dream is to develop a corporate headquarters,” said Bill DeWitt III, president of the Cardinals.
I'm thinking he's referring to the NW corner at 8th and Walnut, remembering how there was a new tower shown there on original architectural renderings (before they were removed). Perhaps they're thinking Rawlings - pure speculation here - or some other company relocating to Downtown. But, it seems to me that they're interested in building it right away if they can get a corporate HQ to commit. Lord knows the Pennant Building will have plenty of parking spots for a new tower built next to it.

Do know that Cordish and the Cardinals are shopping the office building around to tenants before officially announcing. While they may be trying to go for a large corporate tenant, they are also trying to ride off of the success of the Pennant Building. It's already bound to be 50% leased upon opening, but that's before the other tenants come into play, which could push that occupancy rate to above 90%.

And yes, he is referring to the Northwest corner. The latest master plan involves office on the Western end, Residential on the Eastern with the center lot being mixed use. At least that's what I was told. The new buildings will all include parking garages in anticipation of the eventual demolition of the Busch East and West Garages.

Which should be clarified that there is no imminent or known plan for them to be demolished. That’s just speculation and wishful thinking.

The DeWitts are including parking because they want the revenue. Plain and simple. They want to siphon as much away from the other garages they can. I expect those garages to be around for at least another 20 years... unless the DeWitts pony up to purchase them.

Noticed yesterday that the north east corner of the office building is starting to receive its curtain wall.
