So am I correct that there are 4 buildings being built? Or is the hotel integrated into one of 3?

One Cardinal Way. This is the new name of the Residential Tower. Here is their website.

It is included with the Office Portion. Maybe this fly around can assist.

I'm a little upset that the Lowe's hotel design seems to have changed. The new rendering shows a white and glass facade?

It would be cool if the white cladding were glazed terra cotta or something similar.

^I'd guess it's precast concrete, which can still look pretty good. The middle of the Citizen Park podium would be a good comp.

I also like the new rendering more. From one of the other views it looks like individual pieces making up the white part, but it's really tough to say. Stone could be a nice look. We'll find out soon enough.

No digging yet, but it probably won't take long.

From the Stltoday article on the groundbreaking:

Caption states that this is for a test pier but damn is that nice to see.

Based on this rendering, is it safe to say there will be no open/public connection between Walnut and Clark between Broadway and 8th Street?

Looks like we'll have to wait a bit more on confirmed tenant announcements other than PwC and the fitness center.... but BizJourno repeated earlier talk of Rawlings opening a retail presence (not office) and FoxMidwest moving over from Union Station.

Well, I'm not sure, but it looks like that orange pathway could very well lead all the way through to Walnut.

Ah. Good spot. I didn't see that break between the two buildings. That's a relief/hopefully that's the case.

7th Street May connect Walnut to Clark. Also, the cool circle things over the street will be new street signs within the development.

My guess is that they are just place holders/ideas of what could be coming. A brew pub would be great. Maybe 'The American' restaurant will be coming?

I could easily see a "Blues Brewpub" added in Phase 2. Get the Blues involved and allow them to open their own Hall of Fame and Museum.

as long as it's subsidized by city taxpayers and they get to pocket all the profits. they wouldn't even need to sign a lease since leases don't seem to matter where the Blues are concerned. that should really streamline the process!
