A little surprised they won't need 2 for each new bigger building. But this is just based on Centene using 2. Maybe they will just use some smaller ones to go with a tower for each.

I find it odd that only one will be used on the office portion of the project. That block is pretty large so this seems odd. Maybe you are right, some smaller cranes to assist the tower cranes. I could see that.

Just pure speculation but I would think 1 tower crane for the apartment portion and 2 on the West end of the site for the office and hotel.

Do we have a definitive height for the apartment tower as of yet? it seems like this should be public by this point.

320 is my guess on the height. No higher but certainly not much shorter. 310 feet at least.

The residential apartment tower will be a modern, 29-story, 230 foot tall, luxury high-rise apartment building at the corner of Clark and Broadway that will offer views of the Gateway Arch, the Mississippi River, the St. Louis skyline, and unobstructed views directly into Busch Stadium.
That is taken from the Cardinal's website. I am assuming that has to be a typo as that does not even work out to 8' per story. I would imagine that is supposed to be 330'.

dollars to donuts that's a typo meant to be 320ft.

They were taking pieces of the core drillers off of trucks today. They also have fencing and other things for construction. 2 lanes of Broadway are closed and a lane or two is closed on 7th. So be careful when driving around there. Also, there are 8 construction office mobile homes on site. Seems like a lot for the project this size.

Just before Christmas, 2003, I think maybe December 23, work started on Busch III with little fanfare (kind of like this a crew just showed up and started). Only took 14 more years for work to start on a real Ballpark Village. Not bad in St. Louis time. Concerns about over-subsidization aside (because it is), it's nice to finally see this. But I think we were all wrong in how many pages of threads would happen before we got a start on a real BPV.

The huge thing for StL in this Phase 2 is that the lots are bigger than the Phase 3 lots. Pure speculation, but I believe Phase 3 is going to be the easiest phase of the project to complete.

Foundation Only Building Permit was issued on 12/8/2017, which I assume is why mobilization started Monday. There was also a $25,000 plumbing permit issued yesterday for block 400.

The crane onsite is probably for driving piles for the shoring to do whatever excavation is planned. The drill that is being assembled is pretty self-explanatory. GC is Paric, and despite their McKee connection that always bothers me, they generally seem to do good work.
