Do we know if the Kaldi's will have a kitchen? I'm always impressed by their food.urban_dilettante wrote: ↑Aug 25, 2017great news, though i kinda wish it were a different local coffee shop. there's already the Kaldi's at Citygarden.
Agree with Comet. Would be a good additional location choice.pattimagee wrote: ↑Sep 06, 2017I just spoke with Kaldi's and they said this isn't their space. They did look at it, but they went with City Garden instead at the time. So this is a different coffee shop... I know Blueprint just moved to South City, so this probably isn't them...
I think it would be awesome if it were Comet Coffee? They are absolutely packed every day.
Just seeing this now. It would be cool to see an add on to the building but architecturally, not feasible. The building was built in the 1890s. Even though it could hold at least a 2 floor addition, it would have to be built out of lighter materials just so not a ton of stress is put on the existing structure. Furthermore when it comes down to the economy, it is feasible, turn it into apartments on the upper floors, but then again, an add on would be quite tough.cardinalstl wrote: ↑Sep 01, 2017I hope 15 years from now demand will lead to a modern addition upward of this building. I'm not sure if that is architecturally or economically feasible.
Went by there around 11 on Friday night. Surprisingly, there was people inside working.GoHarvOrGoHome wrote: ↑Oct 30, 2017Looks like they are making some solid progress. The interior details are stunning, I can't wait to visit.

They should put 18's in those wood panels. It'd be wicked sick.symphonicpoet wrote:Probably putting in fourteens
Sorry. I meant fourteen hour shifts and double shifts. Which happens sometimes (often?) at the end of a rush project. (Happened to me a few times, anyway. Always a rush to meet deadlines at the end, since unexpected problems come up so much at the front end.) Not sure what you mean by 18s in the panels. But it looks like it will be a really great space.San Luis Native wrote: ↑Oct 31, 2017They should put 18's in those wood panels. It'd be wicked sick.symphonicpoet wrote:Probably putting in fourteens

Not if you put them behind a grill. True. But, with some good design, something to hear. I follow you now. Sorry. Should really have caught that. But I installed a lot more boxes than drivers. (Nicer boxes, sometimes, but plug and play boxes. Well, sort of plug and play. Except for the programming part. And the mounting systems. And pulling wire. And all that jazz.)San Luis Native wrote:

Sorry, just being stupid, don't mind me, move on, nothing to see here![]()
Most of the socializing is done after normal office hours. The only daytime activities might be yoga class, organized catered lunch, or maybe a lecture/discussion in a conference room. Honestly 98% of the time these places are like college libraries for adults.dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑Jan 11, 2018I dont get these type of set ups- when i am working i dont want people having coffee, beer, playing pool, socializing, etc around out.
