Moorlander, do you work at the Centene Tower? You have a unique view from your office if you do! A daily update when you walk in!

It looked like they were putting on the tower crane today. I drove by this morning and they had the street closed off and were putting in support pieces.

This building will be tall. It will be the tallest built in Missouri this decade.

Correction- it will be the tallest.

First version of the tower crane is up and operational. It's only about 1/3 of the height I expect it to reach once they get the foundation and first few floors completed, but we at least have in ready to get this baby going!

I think it's high time for SkyscraperPage to list that one as "under construction" rather than "proposed." :)

What does the crane look like? I left town? Like all the other ones I guess?

It's a tall steel vertical structure with a horizontal rotating arm perched on top.

It's actually not that tall right now. Only about 1/2 or 2/3 of the height of the existing Centene building. Expect it to grow once they get the below ground stuff complete and steel starts rising.

They're drilling shafts for the foundation on the future site of the parking garage.

Are you able to get any shots of the area on the other side of Wellbridge? It'll be really fun to see steel rise at the tower and the street wall fill out on Forsyth at the same time.

Is the second shot work beginning on the garage?

They are doing work all the way over to where the arts center or whatever it will be called is located. Wellbridge is still there but everywhere else they have equipment working. That pic I think is (like you asked) where the parking garage is going or at least part of it.

I drive by this everyday on my way to work. The activity seems to be picking up in the garage area.

So satisfying to see 2 cranes here. To bad there won’t be a third

You may be in luck, depending on what they deem necessary for the parking garage! At the very least I'd expect to see a smaller mobile crane or two over there.

^I would think with the extent of the garage we will most likely see another. Additionally, depending on how much firepower they put behind this, we may have cranes for tower 3 in the air while 2 is still being completed.

Super cool to see. As everyone here I think agrees we would have preferred this downtown, but it's awesome to see a company build out an "urban" campus in the greater StL area. Hopefully more in the pipeline after this one.
