Per the Post-Dispatch - This building is going to get completely refurbished and have a Clayton insurance brokerage/consultant move in. They currently have 18 employees.

I drive by this building everyday and always thought it would clean up well if someone put in a bit of effort. Glad to here someone will be. It is on an odd little peninsula between Oakland and Clayton but hopefully with the planned work on the nearby intersection it will do well.

Tear it down and put up an 8-10 story building! It would have great views.
I don't know why we squander locations with so-much potential on these two story dumps.

At this point, I'm against tearing down any building that is built up to the street and with massing. There are PLENTY of empty lots to fill in this city before we need to tear down existing structures.

I agree completely. Height is waaaay overrated. I'll take dense low-rises over random skyscrapers any day. Nothing kills a streetscape like empty lots.

To be honest, I've never liked that building. But maybe it will clean up well.

Looks pretty nice although the rendering isn't the best. Didn't realize the san francisco level slope of the street. Now MODOT just needs to improve the pedestrian access to the park across the monstrosity of an intersection.

Looks like the Scholarship Foundation will be moving in here as well, joining Powers Insurance in relocating from Clayton to the City.

I wish i was with you. It looked like the one the tore down, like 'your old yellow lab dies so you get a yellow lab puppy.'
Feels like a missed opportunity—2 more floor would have made a huge difference and that's all I think about when I see it.

Pretty interesting addition to the Hi-Pointe. I love the advertisement for Forest Park. Hopefully the advertisements stay simple and clean.
