totally agree, with the Gate District not under a historic code, the possibilites are endless for mod infill. All the more reason to keep a close eye on what is being planned (no more modular homes with suburban setbacks). Again, look for a few more quality developments in the near future across the street from this property. I'd really like to see the Garavaglia's building switch hands and get developed. That would be a big catalyst.I would love to see Lafayette become a showplace for innovative modern infill. I agree with both of you- Lafayette Avenue should be a showcase for the best of St. Louis architecture- historic AND modern architecture.
