According to SD times:
Pace hopes to break ground
in September and open in
late 2018.
We're five months from September and there's no permit activity yet so I'm guessing mid 2019 for completion
Put it on Flickr or any other image hosting site and copy and past the address. Easy-peasy.

I really hope the loop starts really breaking into the East Loop with the street car settled in... it'd be nice if Delmar could just keep stretching east. The Delmar Divine could help draw some it even further down?
For sure.STLrainbow wrote: ↑Feb 15, 2018^ if these two corners get built as planned it's going to be a sea change. something seems to be brewing at the Mt. Olive Church site too but don't know what.
I doubt that AT&T lot goes anytime soon (SW corner), but that would be excellent as well. I should probably just be happy with what we're getting

^ need to read that article. Did you get that from the library/PD microfilm?
No. A complete archive of the Times of Skinker DeBaliviere is at http://sdtimes.org/
That's from the first issue

Purchase by SW Bell

Mt favorite quote:
"The building as it stands has no commercial value"
The empty parking lot as it has stood for 45 years has little value, in fact a liability given the amount of infrastructure taxpayers pay for around it and no one is concerned about cleaning up the litter by it. It took months of complaining to get one of the brick pillars taken out of the sidewalk after a vehicle had broken it off.

Wow. Great stuff, can't wait to read about April, 1970. Thanks for the links. I know what I'm reading this weekend.
^^Awesome post. I've never seen that building before. What a beauty - a tough one to know is gone. Very reminiscent of some of the gems that surrounded the Wellston Loop.
Great to see some traction on the Shell site. The Loop is really rolling these days. Looking forward to hearing more about Wash. U.'s continued housing investment plans and of any progress on the southeast corner proposal.

My guess is WUSTL is seeing how the addition of the Everly is affecting the market before proceeding with the building planned for Enright and Westgate.
Yes loads of great stuff- Overcrowded Hamilton Elementary, Fire that destroys a building now the Busey Bank parking lot, proposal to clear cut the neighborhood east of the now Metrolink tracks, closure after closure of businesses on DeBaliviere, demo of the buildings on DeBaliviere now occupied by the strip mall.Mark Groth wrote: ↑Feb 16, 2018Wow. And look at the ads to see what was and where- like a Walgreens where Crossroads is now. And now decades later it takes a $6.4M TIF to bring a Walgreens/CVS tot he neighborhood.
This is taking forever.
Pace owns the shuttered gas station, but the building to the north is still listed as being WUSTL's.

Another two months and still nothing. I'm starting to miss the gas station.

Link below includes new rendering and confirms that CVS will anchor the project by leasing nearly 11,000 square feet.

^^ wow. based on the plans it looks like the drive-through and parking will be covered by the 2nd/3rd floors. pretty cool.
2 curb cuts in such close proximity along Enright is unfortunate, though.
also not seeing a rendering.

Sorry about that. Here is the link with the new rendering.

^ Thanks,
Wonder how accurate the website is? Website stating that it will be opening 4th quarter of 2019. Assume ground would have to be broken pretty soon to meet that construction timeline.

It looks like it's actually going to be 3 curb cuts along Enright. But fortunately Enright is just a dead-end driveway there that already has no sidewalk. So it won't really be a loss in any respect. From the pedestrian perspective this project is a huge win.urban_dilettante wrote: ↑Nov 13, 20182 curb cuts in such close proximity along Enright is unfortunate, though.
^ That is a pretty aggressive schedule.
I have to say, I kinda love the rendering. Fits nicely with the Loop I think. Also love the covered drive-thru.
I think a pharmacy on the Loop is a pretty big deal too.
