They already have a decent operation in St. Louis, making it likely. This would be their 3rd project in the area (Alternative-Protein Facility, Battery Materials Manufacturing Plant). ICL Specialty Products Tuesday received a $1 million boost from a state economic development fund as part of the more than $570 million manufacturing facility being planned in the city’s industrialized riverfront.
The project, expected to create 150 new jobs at a site at 460 East Carrie Avenue, also is receiving aid from the federal government and the city, including an $8 million property tax abatement.
The facility had been eyed for a site at ICL’s Carondelet neighborhood location, but is instead going to a site north of downtown that formerly housed construction waste.

Thanks dblnsouthcity, i was confused by the biz journals headline/tagline for the pay wall article. I thought they had decided to move the plant from southside to new location in order to expand. Sounds like keeping existing and adding facilities for an outright expansion across the board. City is land rich and primed to rebound with manufacturing with a lot of good sites, central location & great transportation/freight connections.
