I know I asked for this before, but is there any reason why we can't have a sticky thread for events? Obviously there has to be a rule that if you want to discuss the events you must start another thread. The calendar should only be for events postings and relevant questions. Or, perhaps it would be much cleaner if it were only events postings, with all events questions handled by PM and the original post updated by the poster.

The problem with things as they stand is that if someone posts a thread on an event two weeks before the date and noone comments on it, it drops way down the topic list. Many people will never see it, and others simply forget about it. And if you wait to post until just a few days before the event, then it is often not enough notice. It would be nice to have a one-stop events thread where everyone can go to see what is going on at any given time. Yes? No?

Considering their audience, I like the idea of these.
