Could anyone help me locate shapefiles/datasets for transit lines in st louis city? I was hoping to find files that depicted active bus routes and metrolink lines which included their stops as well, and also designated bike lanes along streets. Anything helps I just was wondering if anything was already out there before I went and created some from scratch.

Not sure what a shapefile is, but here are some potentially helpful .pdfs:

Comprehensive Bike Map
Comprehensive Metro Map

Bus maps generally don't include station locations, since the stops are so frequent, but you can find maps for every bus route HERE.

It takes a little digging but here's some links:

MetroLink Transit Stations http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id ... 5bd27d3143

Saint Louis City Datasets http://stlcin.missouri.org/citydata/downloads/

Saint Louis County Datasets http://openstlco.stlcogis.opendata.arcgis.com/

Missouri Spatial Data Information Service Datasets http://www.msdis.missouri.edu/data/themelist.html# (select Transportation, and download Railroads (2006) - you should be able to get something out of there)

Saint Louis GeoData http://stlouisdata.org/search/?q=metro+transit

And if nothing else, contact East-West Gateway (http://www.ewgateway.org/GIS/GIS.htm) and ask for the data since they keep lots of GIS data for anything transportation-related (and they used to have it freely available online in the past).

Enjoy.
