Long story short, I came across reference to a "Tower Grove Foundry" today and am interested in learning more about it. Googling turns up only this:



Anyone know where exactly this is? I'm quite familiar with South City but am drawing a blank as to where I might've seen this before.

The Tower Grove Foundry Company was incorporated in 1904. It was sold to
Laclede Stoker Company in 1932 and later became part of Michigan General Corporation
in 1969.
The collection consists of a typed manuscript history of the Tower Grove Foundry
Co. written by Paul W. Kluge and a Tower Grove Foundry Company Catalog of
Construction Castings.

Not sure but my guess is that it is probably down in the industrial area by the railroad tracks near the intersection of Chouteau and Vandeventer. That is where the Tower Grove Station (railway station) used to be. Not sure why they called it Tower Grove Station as it wasn't very close to Tower Grove, but the did...

but it is pretty close to Tower Grove Ave., as the tracks pass below it right there.
