They’re going to be sandwiched between 2 Top golfs, the chesterfield and the city one. If this was my investment I would be nervous. I was at tower tee probably 2-3 times a month in high school but haven’t been there in a decade
I think Tower Tee is established enough that Top Golf won’t kill it.

I have absolutely no concerns regarding Tower tee being successful. If I am prepping for a golf tournament, I’m not going to Topgolf.
TopGolf is way more expensive. Tower Tee is also used for lessons and golf classes, lots of youth golf. It is convenient and centrally located. There are also going to be other offerings such as batting cages, mini golf and a nine hole course. There are not a lot of ranges in the area.

Agreed. I don't really see the comparison. To me Topgolf is a bar with a high tech driving range. Tower Tee isn't really going for that. Yeah I am not sure I would even call them competitors exactly. Tower Tee is for recreation and practice, a combo driving range/batting cages. TopGolf is an entertainment venue for the young and wealthy. Not that Tower Tee was exactly downscale, but its clientele did not overlap much with the people going to TopGolf.

If I were Tower Tee I'd be more worried about Family Golf Center in Kirkwood than any TopGolf. I agree. My wife and I went to TopGolf a few weeks back for a birthday party. Golf was paid for yet our bill for food and drink was still over $100. It's outrageously expensive. The main objective when going to a Tower Tee or Family Golf Center is to improve your golf game. I don't have any pictures to share, but the new Tower Tee looks great. Definitely a step up from the old one. I've referred to it as the locally owned, operated, and built version of Top Golf, just smaller and better tuned for the area it's in. Significant progress on the new clubhouse building has been made as well as the driving range area (two floors). The golf course area also got some new grass (from the looks of it). They're supposed to get around to the new mini-golf course very soon and the whole thing could open up this Fall.
It's great to see the place where my family took me a lot as a little kid and up into my teens return, but better than what it was before. Much better than that subdivision McBride(?) wanted to build there.

I'd say this looks more like Family Golf Center in Kirkwood than Top Golf. Glad they're keeping the batting cages - hopefully they'll have a new "Cubs Stink" sign made.
^ It's absolutely more high-end than the charming old Tower Tee was, the old clubhouse that was the size of a studio and the smelly bathroom by the putting green.
I'll miss the old school charm but this will preserve Tower Tee for a whole new generation of golfers. I know my first ever golf experiences were at Tower Tee with my Dad so I'm happy to see the tradition continue. My company is working on this job and I've been on site and it's coming along great, the range is looking good and I'm excited for the expanded clubhouse / patio and can't wait to have good batting cages near the City again. Hoping they keep the arm action ones.

^Haven't been there either and I did grow up here. I don't think I'd even driven past until about the time it was closing down. But maybe I'll have to try the mini-golf.

Could not have asked for a nicer facility. I read the range is also equipped with the TopGolf "TopTracer" technology which is awesome and basically turns your bay into a mini TopGolf experience.
