I'm told that the pocket park and playground at 4124 Chouteau (behind Novaks in the Grove) is to be demolished to provide a couple parking spaces for Bellon Wrecking. The park was built by BJC in coordination with Wash U Medical Center and was cited as compensation for the hospital's 99-year lease of the portion of Forest Park that lies east of Kingshighway. The park is owned by the FPSE Housing Corporation.

I'm told that Alderman Roddy supports the project.

My information is second hand, and so I can't offer much context. Perhaps someone else can help on that front. The city's LRA owns a 37-space parking lot next door.

I've never used Teddbear Park, but I'd be curious to hear from Grove residents.

Thought this was an "Onion" headline -

I am not aware of this park
