Downtown St. Charles has so much going for it. Unfortunately the mayor and much of the city council seems to think anything that isn't a craft store brings in some kind of bad element.

I can't believe a hot dog vendor is encountering such static! Sheesh!



Downtown St. Charles is a charming place, and I've enjoyed the times I've visited it, but I must say I'm not surprised its leaders are stuck in the dark ages. Sometimes it seems like crossing the Missouri River is like landing on another planet.
