well, who would want to lease office space above a strip mall? I bet they could find tenants for the tower though.

St. Louis Business Journal says USAToday people have been in town preparing an article on St. Louis.

Just for clarification...

Are the 4 Seasons Hotel and the Pinnacle Condominiums separate towers? I only see one in the renderings.

Thanks

There is no such thing as the Pinnacle Condominiums planned yet, although Pinnacle still has $25 million of its $50 million residential investment commitment to earmark. $25 million wouldn't buy much of a condo building, and we still haven't seen any action on Port St. Louis - note the Spring 2006 construction date.

And, as far as it being a Four Seasons Hotel, I wouldn't hold your breath, despite the many teases.

FYI, projects and renderings will remain listed until official word of cancellations or changes in design have been announced.

I just got back from Vegas yesterday...It's amazing how much has changed just since I was there in June... What I would give to have that many cranes on the skyline 8) 8)

^ I think St Louis is well its way for cranes in the sky. We are having a mini residential boom downtown and businesses follow people, so I think with that combo we will see plenty of tall buildings downtown in the next 5-10 years.

And having Lumiere, Roberts, Cityside and Skyhouse would be quite an accomplishment. I'm not sure there is a similarly substantial set of four buildings downtown that were all built within five years of one another . . .

I beg to differ…..

In the mid 60's Mansion House, Busch Stadium, Stouffers Hotel and the Spanish Pavilion to name just a few were constructed.

In the 80's Boatmen's Tower, Bank of America, General American building, 1010 Market, One Bell Center, SBC Data Center, St. Louis Center, Edison Brothers Buildings, Adams Mark Hotel and Union Station and the Broadway building were all done in a short period of time

One small correction: The GA building was built in the 70's. Around 76 or 77, IIRC.

The 80's kicked ass for STL big construction.

Don't forget Metropolitan Square and One City Centre.

90's and 2000's have given us Renaissance Hotel, Eagleton, Lumiere, and Roberts, which is pretty pale in comparison to the 80s.

You're forgetting Busch Stadium, Scottrade Center, Edward Jones Dome, America's Center, Gateway Transit Station, Federal Reserve Expansion, and Metrolink. But it does seem that '90s-'00s construction has lagged behind the '60s and '80s

This is all very hard to follow. Why don't we put this into the wiki? It'd be much easier to follow if each building had its own page and development narrative.

^ ABSOLUTELY! We just need people to do it! The wiki will take time to become a great resource, but bit by bit we need to start putting things in there. Anyone can do it.

Maybe in a decade or so, when our economy returns to pre-2008 levels!

What's the deal with the Bottle District?

I also remember reading awhile ago Kevin McGowan saying he may indeed build MW Tower eventually, though I presume he would drop the "W" now.

^ I believe the property is in McKee's hands now. Of course the big question is whether Kroenke wants it.
