How does everyone see these projects playing out?

IMO -

:D BPV is close to a done deal and will be a huge project.

:D Wash Ave will continue to gain restaurants/shops as lofts are developed and people continue to move in.

:) Laclede's Landing seems to (anecdotally) have benefitted from Metro to Wash U and the Casino will draw more people.

[-o< MW Tower is still a rumor, but if built would have significant retail space.

:? The full development of Chouteau's Landing seems dependent on a the lake and I'm not sure that this project will ever get close in scope to the fantastic renderings.

:| This leaves the Bottle District: separated from the other major developments and with the least recent hype.

Yes. And we may see more effort (not that they haven't been trying) on the IL side for a MSR bridge. I'd venture to say that the number of workers from MO commuting to IL is on the rise.

That's over $20 billion in construction projects. If half that gets done, it's a huge investment in the region. And I suspect well over half will get done.

Certainly can share the excitement of impressive list. But I do think some reality is in order on two big numbers but have to agree that half that list is doable in near term and the region is well on its way to at least $10 billion

The number I would tweak and the one I would take off the list.

$8.4 Billion Northside regeneration. McKee has a awful lot of work to have that much faith into that huge of a number
$1.3 Billion Harbor San Carlos is all but dead from what I have read and believe it shouldn't be included in the list.

That being said, Awesome List Arch City.

Two developments that hope get added to the list by the end of year

1) Drury Family goes forward with either major hotel in the city and/or the talked about residential tower on the Landing. $50 - $100 million
2) Zoo announces development plan for Forest Park Hospital Site, plus $250 million to add

The mega project to add in future - RAMS stadium,

Looks like you can bump up GM's Wentzville investment from $380 million by another $133 million.

GM to invest $133 million more in Wentzville

http://www.bizjournals.com/stlouis/blog ... re-in.html

Nice to see some auto investment in the area, Toyota adding in Troy and now GM increasing its Wentzville investment.

Too bad the electric van plant can't get some major backing and support to build the auto plant that was suppose to happen in Hazelwood. That would also be a nice one to add to the list. Especially if it were to be a major automaker.

Thanks everyone for your input and feedback.

-I know there are skeptics, but I am hoping Northside lives up t to its $8-billion hype. We must believe and put it in the universe.

-Harbor San Carlos' website is still active and appears to have been updated this year. St. Charles still has it on its website.

[My personal rule is that I do not call a project dead until there's an article or a credible source i.e. developer, economic development offices, a city rep etc. that confirms it. To me, quiet doesn't always mean dead. As long as there are traceables ie. an active current website - I try not to call a project dead. The Streets of St. Charles site, for example, was reincarnated/downsized from an original plan. Maybe the same is underway for Harbor San Carlos].

I will definitely add the St. Louis Zoo's Dogtown expansion because real planning is underway. Also, I do think Drury Hotels will be adding a hotel by the medical center. I believe BJC/WU is the only major St. Louis employment center where they don't have a presence. I wouldn't be surprised if an announcement is made by the end of the year - or early next as I-64 highway construction winds down.
