Doug, thanks for sharing these great photos of a great place! I've always loved Sainte Genevieve, and I'm glad to report that it seems to be benefiting from an increase in tourism thanks to the wineries in the surrounding area.
I cannot imagine leaving the city, but part of me has always wanted to own a place and/or land in or around Sainte Genevieve. Aside from the interesting historic core of the town, the rolling hills and the Mississippi River valley scenery are quite beautiful. I'm also quite fond of places like Augusta and Hermann for the same reasons. (Oh, and yes, I like the wine as well.)

Thanks for the photos, Doug. I've shot several rolls of film down there myself. It's a great place to spend a weekend afternoon.
I once spent three days exploring the gravel roads both North and South of St. Genevieve, on both sides of the river. I love the remains of the old French culture.
