^ I would say Dooley along with the county reps didn't help much either by going along and agreeing with the county loan scheme that give Metro funds to pay of the cross county extension debt in return for taking the sales tax voted for metrolink expansion as method of expansion. I voted in favor of Prop A in part to expand metrolink and little has come out of it, either in planning, environmental impact studies or even finalizing routes/preliminary engineering and securing RoW.

Second, without the debt burden and minimal expenditure relating any metrolink expansion you think that Metro would have the resources to do a little bit more of both, extent and frequency
