I can’t believe it took so long for them to market these unutilized parking lots. Every mall in the metro (and many strip malls) should consider the same.

I can't view it.  I'm assuming this is the far lot on the corner by 64?  No idea on the math, but if they added a couple levels to the parking garage in the back, they could probably sell off even more of the parking in front.

Correct. It's the extreme outer southern lot area. Where all the circusy stuff is always being put on.

These 2 shots are from the Richmond Heights Future Comprehensive Plan. To give idea of what sort of scale is preferred for this land.

I'm old enough to have worked at the Galleria when
  • holiday season employee parking was off-site up at Enterprise's HQ
  • even the furthest reaches of that "lower" parking lot was used during the holidays and even normal season weekends.

I'm old enough to have spent many hours hanging out on Antler Ave (where these new bldgs will be built) before the mall was developed.

I posted this news a few months ago. They have definitive interest. It’s going to be great, possibly transformative for that area.

There is a world where a development here would tie perfectly into The Boulevard phase 3 where the Waterway is

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I'd like to see a different land use built up to a highway (interchange) than residential mixed use. I just don't think that'd be a nice place to live, and it frankly bothers me how much residential investment is going in right up to highway 40.

Maybe a hotel or industrial use could go in here.

Talk about nothing to add. Ha!

How sad and unfulfilling your life must be. No faith, family or kids. Good luck dude.

Just for clarification can someone confirm this parcel is Richmond Heights, but is in the Clayton School District?

I wonder how they'll react to more apartments in their district?

Is this mentioned in the article? The Galleria is boarded by Clayton and Ladue School district maps but neither includes the Galleria.
