Are there any decent restaurants (not fast food) in the 63114 zip code? This area includes Overland, St John, Breckenridge Hills, Vinita Park and Charlack. The only place I'm aware of is a pizzeria (Nick & Elena's). Surely there are other good eating spots.

You can click the "redo search" box on the map on the right and zoom in to the areas you're looking for.

I recommend Mandarin House (some of the best Beef Noodle Soup in town for lunch) and Las Palmas on Page.

Your close to Woofies. Best hot dog stand around. Gotta love the glow in the dark neon green relish...

Las Palmas is good (on Woodson near the airport). I think it's technically in the suburb of Woodson Terrace.

Seconded. Best Chinese food in StL, most certainly beyond deep-fried imitation crab meat and sugar cookies. If you have a large party, they'll prepare a very good traditional multi-course meal on a spinning wheel.

There's also a location of Las Palmas right on Page, in a strip center a bit west of Woodson.

The one I've always wondered about but never have gotten to is Nipa Hut (or something like that) across from Woofies -- claims to have Filipino food.

Ian weighs in on Taqueria El Jalapeño, which is probably also in that zipcode.

Many years ago, I lived in the Overland area. None of these places were in business back then. (Except for Woofies....they've been there for ages. )

I'd like to try Mandarin House- sounds great!

Are there any places in the area for steak and seafood?
