Picked up an empty tallboy off of the lawn of my neighborhood park downtown the other day. Was on my way home, on a bike, figured I'd run into a recycle bin within the next block or two. No dice. Lots of trash cans, no recycle bins. Five blocks later I got sick of carrying it and just pitched it into a trash can.

Figured this would've been covered here before, but searching turned up nothing. How is it that there are no recycle bins out and about downtown?

^Not the same. It needs to be more convenient. Also, not 100% certain on this but I'm pretty sure the typical alley downtown does not have a recycle bin/dumpster like the typical South City neighborhood. At least not in my recollection. That said, there is a recycling center in DT West but as much as I love to recycle, am I going to walk 10 blocks out of my way to pitch a few cans there. Probably not
