The other day I noticed that one of my favorite websites, the Post-Dispatch's building age map, doesn't seem to be working any more. I emailed the online editor to see if they can get it back up and running. City data on year built for 1800s is very inaccurate . For alot of the buildings they just use a default year
I wrote to the P-D about this last year, and am thrilled that they've gotten it back up and running. You should definitely take any individual parcel's given year with a grain of salt, but it's very useful to see when neighborhoods were generally built (and where outliers are).
