There was a truck unloading construction materials when I walked my dog past there this morning.

The finished product is going to be really amazing - it will add a lot of life to Tucker!

Anyone manage to get any pictures of the day's activities?

It was raining when I went by. There were no visible activities. I'd assume the workers were all inside staying dry.

^They sure don't make construction workers like they used to!

Well I guess if it was raining...

I assumed that the "start of construction" would be symbolized by them ripping up the surface lot that now occupies the site. I'm hoping that this comes tommorow. Has there been a fence constructed yet around the perimeter of the plot?

I was beginning to wonder whether this was for real or not. It seems like every project is actually starting to move, this is awesome.

I just walked by it a few minutes ago and didn't see any activity on the surface lot, in fact there is no fence and the lot is still full of cars. Are we sure they didn't mean that the contruction that was supposed to start yesterday was on the interior of the Parkside building?

That's what I assumed, and yesterday and today seem to confirm that. Fine with me as long as something started.

I was assuming that the construction meant the city-side building. I was under the impression that they were renovating the inside of park-pacific while they were in the pre-sales stage. Guess I was wrong. Seems like a kind of misleading line though, as I'm sure pretty much everyone not extremely familiar with this project assumed they were beggining the new construction.

Yeah, what's up with that? I thought they've been rehabbing the building all this time?

I think those trailers that have been sitting there were just for show. Now maybe they will get some use.

Hmmmmmm . . . . :?

It would be nice to have a token patch of the parking lot torn up.

Thanks for the pictures. I see that lot almost daily but it just serves as a reminder as to how much I hate this parking lot . I'll be so glad when it's gone.

Looks like they are removing windows on the West side of the building as prep for the installation of construction elevators. Should see workers in numbers fairly soon.

I hope that this, Roberts Tower and Skyhouse are signs that developers understand that the housing market in St. Louis is not going to take a skydive like some other cities.

Thank God. Having a construction site obviously displayed in a site that is as prominent as this one is going to be a sight for sore eyes. This site is going to look pretty large.

Fences are up, and it looks like they're building a platform for one of those external elevators like the one at the Syndicate.

Sorry for my ignorance, but is this a renovation of the building that is standing? I assume by the huge sign hanging on it, but I am seeing some comments about the parking lot. Is there some new construction as well?

BTW - judging by the website, the Parkside seems to be nearly sold-out.

Cityside, new construction, will be built on the parking lot. Parkside is the existing building, nearest the park. Both projects, together, make Park Pacific.
