^Oh hey, the link isn't working because the site's censorship apparently even "cleans up" background links. (You can go to the Pageant's site for tickets, for instance. "Kitty" Riot at Delmar Hall. But you'll probably have to replace the **** the stupid thing throws in the link, that you can't even see unless you actually use it, in which case you probably know what you're getting with ussy. I guess I'm being . . . F-ussy.)
"St. Louis, Missouri – Barrett Barrera Projects (BBP) is thrilled to present p**** Riot, a Russian feminist protest and performance art group, best known for their provocative activist punk performances.
Barrett Barrera Projects will host a one night only event on Monday, November 27th with a short film, a Q&A session, and special musical performances by group members, Diana Burkot and Alina Petrova.
The event is free and open to the public and will proceed the ticketed p**** Riot: Riot Days performance at Delmar Hall on Tuesday, November 28th.
Founded in 2011, p**** Riot gained global prominence after a performance at Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour led to the imprisonment of three of its members.
Susan Barrett and Barrett Barrera Projects have been longtime supporters of p**** Riot, having worked with the group over a three year period to ensure the group members’ safety and freedom of protest internationally, is thrilled to now be able to bring the group to our hometown of St. Louis.
“Barrett Barrera Projects is committed to the idea of art being verb and I felt that p**** Riot embodies this concept in practice. The idea of presenting a performance and corresponding p**** Riot exhibition came about in 2020 before COVID-19 changed the world. Now, several years later, with the group’s message is more important than ever, we are thrilled to finally to host p**** Riot in our hometown of St. Louis.” - Susan Barrett, Barrett Barrera Projects President"
