WashU is in a pretty tight spot with no room to grow. That campus keeps getting more and more compact.

I love the old CBC building. Lots of character from the front.

Well, one of the problems is that it was built for roughly 1200 students and has an enrollment of roughly 800.
I wonder what the old student body size was at the old Clayton campus? Has it always been low at the new place or did they take a hit during the recession?
The former, from what I have been told. They had a lot of city kids in the old location, and I guess they figured they all would just automatically follow them way out west. They didn't.

Very true. My class ('06) had one year at the Clayton campus and the remaining 3 years at the new campus in Town and Country. In my class alone, we lost 60 students (mostly city and inner-ring burb kids) in the first year with another 20 leaving in the following two years.

I don't feel for them...thats what they get for leaving.

Its a shame that the kids from the city and the surrounding burbs lost out. For many the private school route is the only way to get a solid education, without living far out.

Does anyone know what Washu uses this property for? I see the parking lot full at times.
