Something good. I had been away from the forum for a while and it is always nice to see a post like this. I will be so excited to see renderings of exactly how the front of the campus will all fit together with more new engineering buildings eventually, this building, the parking garage changes to the landscape and the new building intended for the art and architecture school.

The construction never stops! They're really filling in the campus. It looks to buck the trend architecturally. Will they continue the parking along Forsyth like to the west?

The tale goes that the chancellor and his counter-part at Fontbonne have lunch once a year where he slips a piece of paper with a number on it that is perennially turned down.

They have the old CBC High School on Clayton. I don't think they've done much with it.

After a few beers a former big time StL developer told me that Fontbonne agreed to a sale and was going to develop a new campus in mid-county, this was in 2008, he said it would take 2 years to finalize the deal. This may be one of the reasons he is a former developer.

The price tag would be huge, but you never know.

The Concordia campus is twice the size of Fontbonne, the buildings are great, some of the best collegent gothic in the midwest, and hardly anyone knows its there, I imagine the Lutherns would want too much.

Old CBC has proven to be a dificult property, at one time they were hoping to develop some athletical facilities there, the buildings are in poor shape and the 1970's addition probably should be torn down, but it is really too far from campus to intergrate into student life.

Until they pull a CBC and move westward I'll keep fantasizing about Fontbonne buying all the land between 14th & 18th north of Chouteau and building a campus.

A Fontbonne campus in the city would be amazing. Especially if it were to be located somewhere near SLU and Harris-Stowe.

Think farther north..

DT would be great too. But there's nothing between Ameren & Nestlé Purina. It's right near the Civic Center station, so easy for commuter students. And I've thought for a while that a small university would complement Laf. Sq. really well. It would also help shrink the gap between Laf. Sq. and DT.

But yeah, the more of everything downtown the better.

Really, anywhere in the city could have a significant impact.

Hopefully, they wouldn't take the Maryville route, building a suburban campus that's practically shut off from the outside world.

Absolutely phenomenal building on the inside. Wasn't originally super thrilled with the renderings, but I for one am impressed.
