Does anyone have any recommended companies that refinish hard wood flooring? Any idea on how sanding, staining, finishing would cost per square foot?

I've used Blake Floor before. Think $1 - $1.5/sq ft depending on number of coats and finishes it could be more.

I think you can use carpets or floor mats to bring a new look to the company. There are variety of mats available, you can choose according to your requirement.

Rockwood Floors has been phenomenal for me. Husband and wife team with some helpers. I'm comfortable leaving a key for them. They also did a nice job with baseboard.
